The Citibank Account from Citibank

As long as you maintain an average balance of $6,000 across this and other Citi accounts, this full-service checking option carries no fee, provides unlimited check writing, and unlimited use of non-Citibank ATMs. Dip below the minimum balance and you'll be socked with a monthly service fee, which runs from $9.50 to $15, depending on where you live and the type of checking account (regular or interest checking) you have.

The charges for this is barrable compared to other foreign banks. The service provided by them are excellent. The only easy accessable bank is this. They are not charging much as constumer fee.The customer is not charged when they have $6000 that provides a greater interest to deposit in that. But when we have low amount, the charge is too high, make a review of them.

The fees they charge are pretty ridiculous, as the others here have stated. However they do a decent job of online support, which is easy to manage on one's own.

Citibank can run these huge scams. Case in point - I signed up for Thank You points...only to find I'm charged $12.95 a month. And for what? And for that matter - $49.95 to reorder checks???

I will never become a customer of a bank that charges customers fees if the fall to a certain level. It's a complete joke.

I'm really not a fan of checking accounts that have fees. Citi is currently promoting this deal everywhere to bring in new customers, but it's only for its higher tier accounts.

So, they are revving up your rewards for a year and giving you $100 cash upfront. For someone who maintains a $6000 checking balance, you'd have to do a lot more to get them to switch.
