You'll need a minimum $5,000 daily balance or a combined balance of $20,000 in your checking and other accounts, to avoid the $16 maintenance fee. If you want to get into the money management or other investing options from Comerica, you should get this tying into account. Obviously this is an account for the more established customer as there are hefty minimum daily balances in place. You earn money on your balance and as it says you can access further interest bearing services like money markets, all through Comerica.
