The Statement Savings Account only requires a $50 minimum opening deposit and if you keep a minimum $400 balance, Comerica will waive their $5.50 monthly maintenance fee. (If you're under 18 or over 62, the fee will also be waived.) You'll get six free debit per month (after that it's $3.00 per withdrawal.)

This is a great way to teach kids how to save money. You can invest on their behalves and teach them to hand onto the money. I opened and put $1000 into my godson's account, there's no fee, and it will simply increase with each year, not to mention it's a great account which all of his relatives can contribute to while he's still very young.
