I chose the Discover card to help me finance my college education as an alternative to loans. There was a promo rate of 0% interest for six months, as well as $10 cash back when I spent at least $100. The Reward system is also well put together. The biggest drawback is finding someone that actually takes my card!

This was my first credit card. It's great to get cash back, but I never used it enough and now I primarily use a card with airline miles rewards. However, Discover does offer great balance transfer interest rates, so if I need a little float, I will transfer some debt over here for a few months.
