Hey Ethan how did you apply for this loan? I am in the same situation, currently in a medical school that does not have any lenders. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a medical student at a school that requires the student to find their own loans, I found the Discover Financial student loan to be adequate. What attracted me to it rather than any of the others is that there is no origination fee or default fee. Other lenders had better payback deals. However, only Discover and maybe one other company waived the starting fees. The perks after the loan are not as good as they were a few years back when I started school (0.25% ACH), but this is true for all companies. If anyone has a better deal, post it up.
