Edward Jones offers its customer access to thousands of mutual funds. In addition, the firm designates the following seven fund families as "preferred': American Funds, Franklin Templeton, Goldman Sachs Funds, Hartford Mutual Funds, Lord Abbett Funds, Oppenheimer Funds and Van Kampen Investments. Remember, these preferred fund families run some great portfolios but they're also in a profit sharing agreement with Edward Jones.

I have invested with many jobs that I have been at in the past, but have never felt as confident in a mutual fund as I did when I invested with Edward Jones. They got to know my financial needs first, and then helped me pick the best option for my investment. I would definitely recommend a mutual fund with Edward Jones if you don't know much about investing.

I put money into an Oppenheimer fund through Edward Jones, and i don't know how i would have intelligently selected the right fund with out their help. The do a great job of suggesting funds tailored to your investment goals and needs.
