I really can't recommend that anyone get this card, based on my experience. My credit score is 741 (verified by a mortgage lender, NOT by an online "FAKO" credit-scoring site!) Still, I keep getting e-mail solicitations from this company.
I called to tell them not to send me any more offers; instead they sent me a card! Their disclosure reveals more fees than I could ever imagine; at least half of the meager $250-300 limit gets eaten up with fees!
Sure, I understand that people with bad credit don't have a right to whine about costs for any credit card, but this company clearly intends to milk the desperate for every last penny they can wring out. They're also sending unsolicited applications to people with GOOD credit, probably hoping that we don't read the fine print.
My advice is the same as Suze Orman's and a lot of other financial advisors: IF YOU HAVE HAD CREDIT PROBLEMS IN THE PAST, GET RID OF YOUR CREDIT CARDS AND JUST PAY CASH FOR EVERYTHING. You'll save a lot more money and avoid buying things you can't afford.
Think about it: This card is designed to KEEP YOU IN DEBT, not to "help" you reestablish good credit. If you save your money, you'll soon be able to pay cash for whatever you need - and you won't have to worry about whether your credit is "good' or "bad."

Okay just got this card in the mail today--actually, they sent me TWO duplicates. So if this is such a bad card, what card would a good one to use when trying to build up credit?

This card is offered to people with bad credit or bad marks on their credit reports. Yes there are a lot of fees, but you have to earn good credit to get a low-fee credit card. As long as you pay on time every time and use the card responsibly, it serves it's purpose. My credit score was in the toilet due to poor business decisions, but after obtaining this card my score has raised steadily; I no longer have what is considered "bad" credit. The bottom line here is that if you got this card offer in the mail, your credit is bad. If you learn to play by the rules, you will be rewarded. It's all about being fiscally responsible.

Quit whining everyone. If you are being sent this credit offer, then your credit is toilet paper. The fees come to 180 then 7 a month. 4 for one time online account setup. if you whine to them they will charge you, ha ha. I blew 10 times that out on the town in a night. I'll never get why delinquent borrowers think they deserve prime rate fee less cards! Pay this one on time every month and in a year or two you can get a prime card thanks to First Premier (you mus care about your credit before this card makes you happy)

I hate this company. They kept sending me offers for credit cards and I would automatically shred them. They I mysteriously had one opened in my name. Hmmmm, coincidence? I called them right away when I got a bill for a card I had never even heard of. The next day they sent the actual credit card. They are such a scam. However, they did cancel the account right away and didn't charge me anything. It wasn't my fault to begin with.

this credit card has the most fees of any credit card i ever had. i dont see how all of the charges are legal. the cust. is charged for everthing ,(method of payment , calling cust.service, accessing your account online) all of these transactions are charged . please if you want to build your credit find another card, this one is not worth it!

Having a poor credit score can often mean getting excited about a credit card offer in the mail that actually accepts you and so I bought the pitch and signed up. Everything has a fee. Everything. I think I paid a fee for keeping the card in my dresser instead of my wallet. The card's initial balance is eaten up in half by fees and then there is a fee for everything from signing up for online access to paying the bill. That said, they have some of the friendliest customer service I've ever encountered in a credit card company aside from perhaps Discover card. However, talking to them will also cost you a fee. I am not certain, but I think I was charged a fee when they called me and I returned the call later. This card isn't worth it.
I am shocked at what they get away with! I signed up online today to access my account and pay the bill and they charged me to do that! they charge to pay by phone, they get you coming and going...and to boot, i forgot this card had an annual fee and i got hit with it this month! i called them to cancel the card, but can't cancel it until it's a zero balance. so i sent a check for half today and will hopefully have the stupid company paid off in a few months...because this is crooked credit! no ethics.

I read the Initial Disclosure information for this credit card becuase my younger brother was being burried under fees. This card charges more fees than I have ever seen. Besides the annual fee, there are fees for setting up an online account, and even paying your bill through certain methods, They even charge a $25 fee to express mail your card. I always thought quick and free delivery was the industry standard. DONT GET THIS CARD
