In my experience with credit cards for those with questionable credit, HSBC Orchard Bank was one of the better card systems I dealt with. Their APRs and fees were more clearly explained than with other companies I have dealt with, and their customer service reps in my experience were helpful and polite. They helped me to rebuild my credit with less hassle than others.

My account has a low credit limit, but it is helping me rebuild my credit. I had declared bankruptcy in the past, but was able to get a credit card with Orchard. The interest rate is acceptable and I've had no problems with customer service. I like their website for making payments. It is very easy and free to use.

I do not like this card. I paid my first bill and shortly after was charged a late fee even though I paid it on time. When I called, they refused to waive the fee.

I received the secured card in the mail last year after being pre-approved for a different card. After reading through the information and fees, I called customer service to decline the card and received a very rude response. To add insult to injury, I received a bill in the mail a few weeks later, indicating that the introductory fees were overdue and I would now be assessed penalties in addition to the extensive fees charged upfront to activate the account. It took several more phone calls just to get this straightened out and make sure the account was not activated. Avoid!

I actually have a MasterCard from Orchard bank, and I did it to help my credit, and I have had the card for over 2 years, WELL, NEVER call and request for a credit increase holy moly, they are not the friendliest people, and they charge you for getting a 100.00 increase. I was charged 25.00 I mean come on, that is ridiculous. I keep the card and I use it as its helpful, but I will never request an increase. This company also does NOT do an auto increase so. not really worth it in a lot of ways, but great for credit help.

This credit card is a scheme!! I would never recommend this company to anyone! My first statement came with about $65.00 in fees and charges that I did not expect. Including maintenance fees and all kinds of stuff, which lead my account to go over the credit limit....causing more fees and they would not work with me or remove the fees. I just had to pay it, and once it was paid off....I cut it up!

I have just started Orchard Bank Mastercard as my first credit card, with a low limit to improve my credit rating. I have never had any problems with them, including when I've called customer service. I can always easily and quickly be connected to a real human being to talk to, and they are always polite and help me with any issues I have. This card is great.
