The president and CEO of Huntington National Bank, Stephen Steinour phone number 1-614-480-3327, does not have the ability to hire fraud investigators to stop fraudulent and predatory lending practices. His phone calls and e-mails go un-answered when I was demanding answers as to why they allowed me to be involved in a fraudulent loan and then demanded the $28.000.00 to be paid back from the dealership and leave me hung out to dry. They sent me a letter stating that Midway Chevrolet was now the lien holder and told me to deal with them directly. Nice that they stuck by their client! Huntington also kept my car payments and they were paid back more than what the loan amount was for by the dealership. They never even returned the payments to myself or gave them to the dealership. Jackie Yochus the fraud investigator was only aware of what happened because of the help of a consumer advocate and I, sadly we are better at her job than she is. I am wondering why anyone that is an investor at this bank would want to trust their hard earned money in a place that allows these things to happen. The only thing they had to do was call me and verify my job and income and this would have never have happened at all, because the dealership lied about those things and much more. The bank also didn’t verify that I was even the actual owner of the trade in, I was not. The list is endless of the stupidity of this bank and the people they have watching out for their investor’s hard earned money. Get out now if you can, with all the banks failing there is no better time. These fraudulent auto loans are the same as what took down the mortgage industry and closed banks, by lying and getting people into loans they knew they couldn’t afford.

If you deal with Huntington, make sure to read the back of the contract very closely. That's where they put the penalty for early pay off. Oh, and it will be a smaller font and much, much lighter type. I didn't even realize there was print on the back until I held it up to the light at home.
They do waive the penalty if you pay it off within 6 months of the final payment, but 26 months early (my situation), not so much.
Other than that, I do agree that they have traditionally been hassle free.

I had a very good experience with Huntington. I loved their purchase option that allowed me to save some money. My monthly payment is also very good, and I am glad I made this decision. I would tell anyone to pick these guys.
