ING is excellent. Bank of America should ask ING for some tips on how to treat customers and resist the urge to take advantage of people.

I opened an "Electric Orange" account with ING two months ago and I am very satisfied with the services they provide. I was eligible for a $50.00 bonus for each new account I opened. I find their website easy to navigate, and I like the fact that my Sharebulider, ING savings and Electric Orange savings accounts are all linked together online for easy access and funds transfer. I am a better "saver" when it

After a bad experience with a slew of overdraft charges and some irate phone calls with the Bank of America customer service department I finally took the plunge and opened an Electric Orange account with ING. I've had a savings account for a number of years and love the ease of use and the high(er) interest rates. I was always concerned about having an online bank account without the brick and mortar building to go to, but I have to say that 6 months later, I have run into no problems. It was strange not having a checkbook at first, but I like their electronic and paper bill pay features. You just have to remember to pay things a few days earlier! I would highly recommend making the switch.

I really enjoy the ING Direct Electric Orange experience. It's an online bank experience that features high security and a high interest rate when compared to the national average. The website is easy to navigate and it features many intuitive tools. ING Direct even allows you to invest with Sharebuilder easily by transferring money from your Electric Orange account to your Sharebuilder account free and fast. I would highly recommend the Electric Orange checking account to anyone looking for an painlessly easy to use online bank.

This is my second ING Direct account after holding a Orange Savings for several years. I have had excellent service again with this account. The transfers are secure and efficient, the electric checks are convenient, and the rates are generally competitive. This account is used by me for personal expenses only and is a great way to separate my household and personal finances. ING offers rock-solid secure technology that I haven't experienced at any other online bank!

Fantastic service. The only issue is that it takes some time to get the money - but the interest rates are excellent. And the customer service? Top notch.

Signup was quick and simple, very easy to link to my BoA account for transfers (takes 3-5 days for a transfer). Writing an electronic check is very convenient, can even overnight the check if necessary. Bill pay is good but not quite as intuitive as other Yodlee-powered sites (BoA, Wachovia). Most "robust" security with regard to login, clicking on PIN (no entering with keyboard), but not a hassle. To top it all off, great interest rates.

I'm a long-time user of ING Direct and I signed up for Electric Orange when it first came out: Fantastic for "new age" banking (high rate and paperless). Electric Orange is the hub of my personal finances, linking my paper checking account (old-school daycare only excepts a paper check delivered by hand each Monday morning), my automatic debt payments (credit cards & mortgage), my automatic bills (utilities and what not), my investment accounts, everything. The automatic overdraft line of credit shouldn't be overlooked: No fees, just a reasonable rate of interest. While I still have an ING Savings account, the interest offered by the Electric Orange has enabled me to relax on rate shopping. I also use the Electric Check feature to settle up with friends and family because who wants to run to the bank to deposit a check? Simply the best. And with all due respect Tom (seriously), the security image protects the innocent from phishing attacks and many financial services companies have added this *benefit*.

I have been a customer for over a year and think the service is great. I was nervous about electronic checks but it works with relative ease, and moving money around is also simple.

Ultra simple website, high security, and some of the highest interest rates around in both checking and savings. If you don't have the need to write out checks by hand very often, this is a great option: it is an interest bearing checking account with easy ability to shift money around. (When you do need to send a check, you just enter the recipient's info and ING will send it for free.) It seems they may have gone a bit overboard in terms of security: they are probably the toughest website to log into as they have several layers of security. Beyond that a great service with great rates.
