Janus Capital offers a host of mutual funds that invest in stocks, bonds and low-risk money market investments. At Janus, you can open a non-retirement fund with a minimum investment of $2,500 and you can open a retirement account with as little as $500. The firm had $206.7 billion assets under management as of December 31, 2007.

I'd recommend Janus to anyone interested. I invested in a nice low risk mutual fund through them. They worked with me to find an investment which worked for me based on my needs and resources. It's a great way to build up your wealth slowly but safely.
