Coverdell Education Savings Account earlier known as Educational IRA allows an individual to save for children’s and grandchildren’s higher education. Deposits up to $2,000 per year for each child up to the age of 18 are allowed. Though the contributions are not tax-deductable, the earnings are tax-deferred.
