Elite Checking
from National City
Touted as National City's best checking account, Elite Checking means no charges from National City for using other banks' ATMs, as well as limited rebates back for ATM fees from other banks. Minimum opening deposit is $50, and you can avoid the $15 monthly maintenance fee by maintaining a balance greater than $10,000 or making new deposits of $5,000 or more. The card isn't available in all states.

I had this checking account for a long time. It served me pretty well. Very easy to transfer money, and got a rebate for using other bank's ATMs. There is an obnoxious matience charge though.

One of the best features of this account has to be the ability to use any bank's atms and get money back in rebate form. You've got to keep a high balance to qualify/stamp out the $15 monthly maintenance charge. Consequently, this account's particularly for high rollers.
