Free Checking from National City

This checking account doesn't have many perks, but the basics are free. There aren't any monthly fees or minimum balances, though you do need $50 to open an account. As with other National City checking accounts, the first order of checks is free, and you can earn points just for banking.

This is a good checking account for students you are not charged any monthly fees however you do have to watch out for hidden disclosure statements and hidden fees they charge you. I'm actually no longer using national city their customer serivce is horrible I can't stay with a company that thinks the customer is always wrong.
