With this account, you won't be charged by National City for using other banks' ATMs and you'll have unlimited use of National City's ATMs. You'll earn interest on your entire balance. There's no limit on monthly transactions and no monthly fee, and the minimum deposit to open an account is $50. Like other National City checking accounts, the account comes with online and telephone banking services as well as a Visa CheckCard.

I was an acquired customer for National City and was hopeful when I ventured on to their online banking site. The online banking is pretty slick but the service provided by the actual banking centers and call centers is abysmal. I have never been so ignored by a company that I did business with (that includes airlines and wireless carriers!!). Its unfortunate that their people strategy doesn't compliment their online channel.
