Home Equity Line of Credit

National City offers a home equity line of credit, or HELOC, which uses the equity in your home as a credit line. You can access funds using checks, online and by telephone, or by using the Home Equity Visa Card. The so-called fixed-rate lock features allows you to lock in a fixed interest rate on a portion of your balance for five, 10, 15 or 20 years on balances of $5,000 or more.

National City Mortgage is cancelling all equity lines if you are one day late on your payment. I had a interest balance of $225. left over from a payoff of $180,000. I missed the payment due date and they cancelled the equity line. National City Mortgage sucks. I will never do business with them again.

With this credit line option from National City, you can view recent account transactions, view six months of statement information, use transfer balances, and even download transactions to Quicken or Microsoft Money.
