The Roth IRA allows earnings to grow tax-free; contributions can be withdrawn at any time without penalty, though withdrawing earnings before age 59 ½ incur penalties. You can open an account with as little as $50. Savings options from National City include CDs, money market deposit accounts, mutual funds, bonds, individual stocks, and annuities.

The rates from National City are some of the best that I've found. I opened up my own Roth IRA recently. The standard rules apply: you've got to have it for 5 years open before you can touch the money, and you've got to be 59 and a half as well. Otherwise they slap you with a fine.
