Visa TravelMoney Card from National City

A replacement for travelers checks, TravelMoney cards can function as Visa debit cards, obtain local currency, and provide travel and emergency protection, purchase security and lost luggage reimbursement. The cards come in denominations between $100 and $1,500 and cost $7.95 to $12.95. Three reloads are permitted, and each costs $2.95. ATM withdrawals, balance inquiries, international transactions, cash advances, overdrafts, inactivity, and express delivery all incur fees.

I have lost cash traveling before, so I was safe and got the travel money card when i went to Sweden and Denmark. It was accepted almost anywhere, and the fees on the atms are actually lower than what my normal check card would charge.
