The monthly service fee is $5, but free for those who have direct deposit or have at least 20 Visa Check Card transitions, which will automatically waive the fee for you.

I think that the Navy Federal Online e- Checking is great! I like the way I can manage my account online and keep up with all my purchases. I know that all the banks now offer the same but Navy Federal Credit Union is a great place to bank. They always have someone available to help and they make sure you understand all the regulations with your account. I've had an account with Navy Federal Credit union since I was 16 years old and I have no plans on banking anywhere else.
