Nuveen Investments offers more than 25 mutual funds that invest in domestic and international stocks and taxable bonds. The firm also offers a variety of municipal bond funds on the national and state levels. The firm requires a minimum initial investment of $3,000 for taxable accounts, $1,000 for IRA accounts, and $500 for Education IRAs. However, the minimum is only $50 if you sign up for a systematic investment plan account. Nuveen Investments had approximately $164 billion assets under management as of December 31, 2007.

I bought some stock through Nuveen recently. They helped me pick out a low risk stock which I was looking for given today's economy. I'd recommend them for anyone interested in investing conservatively or aggressively, they are completely professional, helpful, and friendly.
