This is an excellent feature by Regions Bank. I was able to open this up when I was 15, and my mother was the guarantor, so to speak, so there would be no financial penalty to me if I accidentally screwed up. I was then able to turn this into a bona fide savings account once I came of age. I'd recommend this to anyone who wishes to learn about financial institutions.
"Savings for Minors" from Regions Bank shows the children the way of managing money. Only $5 are required to open an account. There is no monthly fee and no requirement of minimum daily balance. The free online statements are also available. There is also a provision for having safe deposit box at the discount of 30% in rental. A great way to cultivate the saving habit in children.

This is a special account for Regions customers' children or grandchildren, age 18 and younger exclusively. It can be linked to a Regions checking account for an automated savings plan where the funds can be transferred monthly, on paydays, or whenever you choose. It's a great way that your child or grandchild can watch their savings grow and learn the importance and fun of saving money with Regions free offered online banking.
