Sovereign Bank offers new and used car loans online and at its 750 branches throughout the Northeast. Sovereign will lend up to $75,000 dollars and features loans with no down payment plans.
While the interest rate for my auto loan was pretty competitive, I am not extremely satisfied with Sovereign Bank.
I tend to manage my money online, and Sovereign Bank's online experience is terrible to say the least. One concession is their customer service, which I think is decent.
One example of how greedy Sovereign Bank is: I needed a complete transaction history from them, which was less than a year old (and has 1 or 2 transactions per month), and I was told that it will cost me $35 for them to mail me the statement. Bank of America was willing to send me statements from 5 years ago (and these were checking account statements, with over 40 transactions per month) for free.
Good rates and term for the loan. With good credit, the approval process takes no time. Highly recommended.
