Sovereign Checking is great. I have had it for 2 years. There is mostly no fees except for overdraft which is $33. They have direct deposit and the greatest feature is there are no fees to use an ATM. There is also no minimum to open an account.
There is no fee to use other banks' ATMs in the U.S. as another bonus. There is no monthly maintenance fee with direct deposit and as it says, no minimum balance requirement. You get a no annual fee Gold Visa checkcard and free graystone-style checks. There is a .25% rate discount for new secured consumer loans with automatic payment from a Sovereign account.
