State Farm Individual Medical Coverage is provided through Assurant Health, the nation's leading individual medical health insurance provider. Three basic plans are offered - the High Deductible Health Plan which uses a single deductible for all covered persons, the Short Term Medical plan designed for people in between permanent health plans and the Student Select Plan specifically for college students.
I wasn't too impressed with this one. I do like all the coverage offered, and the large pick of doctors. However, the rates are through the roof, especially for families. The deductibles really are a killer, and filing claims isn't too easy.
I just graduated and am in the process of finding a job, so the short term medical plan is perfect. The price is good for the coverage you get, and is really just a good match for my situation.
