$100 Donation With New Account

Southeastern regional bank SunTrust is offering $100 donations to the charity of your choice for opening a new personal or business checking account. In order to qualify, you must get a SunTrust Visa Check Card and use it for a purchase at least once by February 15, 2009. The account must be opened by December 31 and a redemption form completed by February 15.

For those on the less charitable side, SunTrust is offering $50 gift cards to a variety of retailers or on a Visa Gift Card.

SunTrust's Free Checking account has no minimum balance or monthly maintenance fee. As the name implies, you can write an unlimited number of checks. You'll also get a free SunTrust Visa Check Card, which can be used to make purchases or to withdraw cash at more than 200,000 ATM locations. If you want to receive images of written checks, the bank charges $1 a month.

The charity donation is a nice touch. I have had this account since college the people at SunTrust are fantastics. I have had a wonderful experience. They really seem to care.

The 50 dollar credit is a nice touch. The double charitable donation would normally be nicer, but I need the money lol. Anyways, I've had Suntrust for years, I'd recommend them to anyone.

This SunTrust charity donation is a wonderful incentive to open an account with them. There are no limits on which charity you can donate to. Just make sure you open the account by the end of the year. You also receive all of the checking bonuses associated with SunTrust such as online bill pay and account management.
