The Personal Savings Account has no balance requirement or monthly maintenance fee. It pays interest on the balance and is insured by the FDIC. You'll get statements at least every quarter (more often if you transfer any funds electronically) and can withdraw money from your account through SunTrust ATMs.
My son is a college student in TN. He opened a savings account with SunTrust and got charged for withdrawl from his SunTrust savings account for more than 2 withdrawls a month. When he complained, SunTrust told him that's the law!!!!!!! Be careful!!!!
I really like that they mention that the money is FDIC insured. This helps to give you a little peace of mind about your savings. The rates are pretty decent, as well, as I'd probably recommend this account to anyone looking for a nice inclusive savings account.
