The maximum amount ranges from $5,000 to $75,000, depending on your level of training or the number of years you've been in practice (a 4th Year medical student would get up to $20,000, for example, while a practicing physician could get up to $75,000). The fixed rates start at 8.95% APR and variable rates start at 8.00% APR. If you are a doctor-in-training, interest-only payments may be available for up to the first 48 months of your loan.
