I recently converted my old Crestar accounts that were opened back in 1996 to a Smart Solution Plus account. This checking account has similar benefits like my previous package such as no fee cashier's checks and money orders and free printed checks. It also has the feature of allowing your money market account to earn a higher interest rate (premium money market performance account). Be aware that the package requires a monthly minimum balance of $5000 with combined linked accounts. My previous money market account at Suntrust requierd a monthly minimum of $10,000 and the checking account package required a monthly minimum of $5000, so my terms in the new package are nearly exactly the same and I get a higher interest rate.
