Subsidized Stafford Loan from SunTrust Bank

With a subsidized Stafford loan, the government pays the interest while you're in school. To qualify, you must be enrolled in school at least half-time, meaning you're carrying at least half of the course load of a full-time student. To get this loan, you must also prove financial need. SunTrust offers some interest rate discounts for allowing monthly loan payments to be made automatically from a personal checking or savings account or for consistent on-time payments.

Stafford loans are probably the best route to go in college when dealing with a lack of money. That being said, I obtained my own from SunTrust Bank. The process was quick and the payment sent straight to my school for tuition. With the refund money, I used to buy books and supplies. Overall, this bank handles the process well and makes sure you don't have to pay a dime back until after you graduate from college (6 months after). Did I mention no interest? That's music to any college student's ears.
