TIAA-Cref offers a lot of mutual funds at reasonable fees. That's why I selected them. However, I have the following problems with them:

- Glacial slow service. I asked them to move funds from one account to a second and it has been 5 days (3 business days) since I made the request. Similarly, when I initially had them transfer the funds, it took about a month - way too long.
- Stock trans…action fees are expensive.
- Reporting tools are not very good.
- No email to customer service even for general questions.
- No "Instant Messaging" a rep.
