TierOne Bank's offers a wide variety of Term Certificates available in time increments ranging from six months to five years. Customers choose how long their funds will be on deposit, and a fixed rate of interest will be set for that period of time. Customers always know how much interest their account is earning. Certificates are subject to an interest penalty for early withdrawal. Accounts are insured to $100,000 per depositor by the FDIC.
