The bank offers the Federal Stafford Loan which has an interest rate of 6.0% for their Subsidized option (after July 1, 2008) and 6.8% for the unsubsidized loan. The Subsidized loan is determined by the school based on a need analysis which considers the family financial condition, estimated costs of education, and eligibility for other financial aid. The Unsubsidized loan is determined by the school based on estimated costs of education minus eligibility for other financial aid. Family income is not considered.
