We have been making payments for 4 years but never used them and my daughter and I needed to see dentist
they refused to pay for the service that has been done for my daughter and same to me.
And what 's really strange when they send me the service explaination I found that they pay less than the allowance.
EG: Service cost $200 they only pay $120 even my allowance f for this service is $180 .
And than I found the dentist office asking for the diffrence.
The funny thing is they write on the top of that letter a note that the provider agreed not to bill the patient for the diffrence and that's why it's called United concordia participating clinic
Weird System or are we stupid???

I have UC as a supplemental, that is until open season. I had periodontal work performed that I had to pay for upfront. The dental office helped me file my claim on this procedure. UC took 7 months to pay a small portion of it and only then after I turned them into every agency I could think of. Now they are telling me my regular dentist (that they used to pay) is not in their network and will not pay him. Can you say R-E-T-R-I-B-U-T-I-O-N. I highly do not recommend them and am dropping them ASAP.
I got a crown on a tooth that they have rejected for payment. Their "expert dentist" looked at x-rays and said I needed periodontal work in my whole mouth before they would pay. I got actual measurements taken over my mouth which proved him wrong. My dentist also says that at my age the healing time after the work they insist he do could easily cause more problems than they solve even if I did really need it. What they requested was "state of the art" years ago. Perhaps their "expert" should get refresher courses or retire.

Horrible coverage. I had two Crowns put in on teeth that were practically at the gum line. They determined that "This service does not meet contractual requirements for payment". They are paying nothing. How much worse does a tooth have to be before they consider it required?
You can search for a dentist using a number of search utilities at their site. The premium was affordable, one of the better options I've found in searching. I'd recommend United Concordia to anyone.
