US Bank's Elite Checking account has a minimum balance requirement of $5,000 in most regions of the country, or else a monthly fee of $18. The account has tiered interest rates up to a 0.35% bonus rate. Other perks include free traveler's checks, cashier's checks, money orders, non-US Bank ATM transactions and a check card that allows you to earn your choice of rewards including cash, travel, merchandise and affiliation.

I use my check card often and everytime I use it with this account I get a percentage back. I can get other items too, but the cash builds up without any effort. I used it to treat my wife and I to a nice dinner. Also, I didn't have to pay any additional money for checks and deposit slips.
I donate to WLW all the time with this card. It's a fantastic way to easily help others and do good deeds without even having to think about it, just using your card every day. You can use US Bank's own checks OR they give you the option of purchasing any other check you want for 50% off. Now that's choice!
