Supplemental Student Loan from US Bank

The US Bank Supplemental Loan is not need-based and can fund up to $120,000 of your education. The loan encourages the use of a credit-worthy cosigner to achieve the best possible interest rate. Interest and principal payments can be deferred until six months after you're done with school.

I have been getting supplemental loans for the last two years from US Bank at great rates. This year, my most recent loan application took two months to process, with a bunch of new requirements, and when it finally funded the rate was DOUBLE the rate of my previous loans. The reason given was "new criteria" with no other explanation and a flat refusal to discuss how my debt/income ratio was calculated. I am shocked and will no longer be doing business with US Bank, including a refinance of my home equity loan with a competitor.

US Bank is helping to fund a portion of my education, and this loan has been perfect since the day I got it. They give you a good amount of time until payments are due and with my cosigner, my rates are good.

US Bank funded my last year of schooling. Having six months until the payments are due is great and with a cosigner you will get a great rate.
