Great service and rates until you need them. My car was hit over 2 months ago and we are still working on it. They have been giving me the run around and don't return calls. They sent an adjuster out last week and he valued the damage at $15 below my deductible just so they don't have to pursue a claim against the insurance company of the person who hit me.

After this claim is settled I will be moving on, I don't even care if it costs me a little bit more.

USAA automotive insurance has been great. The customer service has been better than any other company I've been with. Their agents have always been great explaining coverage and getting things right. Very responsive.

My wife had her accident 10-12-08. USAA agreed to total the car. Today is 2-14-09 and we are still waiting for the check from USAA. AVOID USAA.

Good luck if you try to use their MedPay coverage. The use a company called Auto Injury Solutions (AIS) that will spam mail your medical providers with repeated requests for information, even if they have already received it. They sent my providers so many requests that they got tired of dealing with them. I haven't had to use them for anything else, but the Med Pay coverage at USAA really is poor and not well-managed at all. Be prepared to be treated like a suspect even though you have a valid claim. Paid dues for 7 years with no accidents, get rear-ended and they drag feet in paying for medical care. Great rates, but this is not your father's USAA anymore.

USAA has been great to me and my family throughout the years. We've relied on them for insurance on all of our vehicles, and they've always had great customer service. Their rates are comparable to all of the other companies - if not even better than most. They only offer services to those in the military/government and their families. All in all, I would highly recommend USAA insurance to anyone. Thanks.

I've had USAA for more than thirty years, and I must say that they've gone downhill in that time. The last time I was in a serious accident, they were very frustrating to deal with, never returning my calls, shuffling me from representative to representative, and in my opinion, severely mishandling my claim.

I am a second generation USAA customer and will be with them for life! Their customer service is superior to any other financial company I have worked with and their claims office is incredibly helpful. I have never called their office that they have not provided me with whatever it was I needed. When I needed to ship my car internationally, USAA actually got on the phone with the shipping company to provide them all of the information and ensure there was no confusion!

USAA provides great rates. They offer the convenience of automatic bill pay. Their services include all the features of any major auto insurance company to include glass coverage. USAA is great with military families. They understand and try to reduces the stresses of serving in the military. They offer lower rates when you are deployed and will not be using your car that still covers any accidents that might occur. A great company overall.

My car and home have been insured with USAA for five years. While the rates with USAA tend to be a bit higher, the customer service in a time of trouble make it worth the extra money. USAA has always come through with immediate reimbursment, rental cars, and excellent customer service whenever needed. I highly recommend their insurance to those that qualify.
