My car and home have been insured with USAA for five years. While the rates with USAA tend to be a bit higher, the customer service in a time of trouble make it worth the extra money. USAA has always come through with immediate reimbursment, rental cars, and excellent customer service whenever needed. I highly recommend their insurance to those that qualify.
I thought about giving USAA a 4.5 because their rates tend to be slightly higher than other insurance companies, but I decided to go with a full 5 rating because you really get what you pay for. I got in a car accident several years ago and they sent payment, reimbursed me for my rental car, evaluated the damage appropriately, and did NOT raise my rates or hassle me. Their customer service is absolutely the best - friendly, courteous, and effective. They answer questions, and if the person I'm talking to doesn't know the answer, they go find out what it is. I left for a while to go to Geico for money reasons, but the minute I could afford to, I went right back to USAA. I really dig the dividend checks at the end of the year, too!

I have had USAA for 15yrs! Every once in a while I think I can get a better rate or better coverage so I look around and find that I CANNOT do any better than USAA!! They are always helpful, curteous and available. Try and find that anywhere else. WAY TO GO USAA!!!!!!!!!!

We have USAA for our banking, auto and home insurance. they cover everything! when we were station overseas our xbox and computer were both fried and we had no problem calming it though them. we had a check within a couple of weeks...

By far the most affordable rate for the most coverage! Documents available online, payment is quick and simple account transfer, and staff are friendly on phone when I have to deal with them.

USAA is fine until you need their help then they treat you like crap! I was rear ended in May and had over $4,000 in medical bills - they wanted me to settle for $375! The adjuster told me there was not enough damage to my car, and I simply could not have been injured! They are a bunch of jerks!! I had to get an attorney!

I've had automobile, homeowners and life insurance from USAA for 15 years. They've always been a complete pleasure to deal with and even send me a rebate check every Christmas. I have only wonderful things to say about their service and product quality.

I've had auto insurance with USAA for more than 20 years - and I can't say enough good things about them! Customer service is excellent, claims have been quickly processed, and an annual rebate check is a major plus!

USAA is the absolute WORST company I have had the misfortune to deal with. I am the victim of a hit and run accident. I am being victimized yet again by my own insurance carrier who is refusing to pay the bills even though I have full coverage and uninsured motorist. Their customer service is non-existant. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

I have had my auto, my home AND my life insurance through USAA for seventeen years. Never a problem, whether it be auto accident or leaky plumbing damage. Settled promptly, fairly and had superb customer relations experience.
I just completed a thorough comparison of USAA premium rates and reviews with those of Amica, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Progressive and Nationwide. Only Liberty Mutual beat the USAA rates, but not by enough to warrant the customer satisfaction and peace of mind I have had with USAA.
I'm sticking with USAA both as a very satisfied customer and retired military supporting USAA whose staff understands and sincerely appreciates those of us who were there for our country.
