I agree with the above reviews, with one important qualifier. If you're not "property and casualty insurance elligible", then this card loses almost all its perks: no promotional rates, no cash back, et cetera.

So if you are "fully ellgible" at USAA, then by all means check this card out. If you're one of the few who, like me, qualify without full elligibility, it isn't as interesting.

I got this card in response to a 0% balance transfer/cash advance offer with no fees.

NO ONE does that anymore. I've had the card for the year and just let the balance run down. I invested the cash advance.

When it comes due, I will most likely leave the card open and perhaps switch some of my spending to this card.

As with everything USAA touches, this is a great card. I have the 1% cash back rewards card with no fees, low APRs, and a nice check at the end of the year totaling 1% of my spending for the year. It's a simple, straightforward plan, with no catches, backed by the ridiculously awesome USAA customer service.
