Crown Access Banking brings you the features of a free checking account with extra benefits. On top of receiving a free Check Card with Wachovia Possibilities Rewards, and free online banking services, you’ll receive free Crown checks (or discounts on other designs), and you’ll be allowed two no fee withdraws each month at other ATMs. There is no monthly service fee when you maintain the required balance, and not everyone is qualified to receive Crown Access Banking.
Wachovia's mid-level account. Advantages over the Free Checking include free personal checks and 2 ATM withdrawals per month at non-Wachovia ATM's without a Wachovia fee. In return for those 2 benefits you are required to keep a minimum balance. The minimum balance requirement is offset by savings accounts, loans and credit lines however so the account is essentially "free" if you have a small loan or a credit card with a line thats not large enough to get you the top Crown Banking account.
I have been with Wachovia for almost 4 years now and I have loved it from the start. You cannot beat their customer service. They are always willing to bend over backward for you and they aren't from India so you can understand them. Their checking accounts are great and they give you the most that a bank can give you. I also like that you can link it with your way to save account so you save without even knowing it! I would recommend Wachovia products to anyone!
This account is great. With the minimum balance, there is no service charge, you get two free non-Wachovia ATM withdrawals per month, automatic enrollment in Wachovia's Way2Save program (I've already earned over $700 with Way2Save), free Crown checks, and a free Visa checkcard with rewards. On top of all that, this is in an interest-bearing checking account. What more could one ask for with an account?
This account is a great acccount! Who wouldn't want to earn interest on their checking accounts. You only have to keep a minimum balance of 1000.00 dollars to not get charged a service fee and you get free official checks and money orders. You also get a gold wachovia check card in which you can choose to have rewards or not. The best thing about it is that you can take up to 1000.00 dollars out of the atm where as regular account holders can only take i think 4 or 5 hundred.
I have had this account for a few months now, and I like it. I moved to Wachovia from Chase (to share joint account with my fiance). I like getting interest on my checking. The online banking application is superb - MUCH better than Chase's.
