If you are looking for an online bank, WaMu online banking is a great option. Washington Mutual is one of the largest banks nationwide and is growing at an incredible pace. In addition to its growing number of physical Washington Mutual locations, it has developed great online banking tools.he WaMu savings accounts are great options with very high interest rates for savings accounts.Washington Mutual savings is that you don’t have to do all of your banking online. While the Washington Mutual online banking is great, sometimes you want to be able to go into a local branch to make deposits or talk with the bankers. WaMu allows you to do this with its WaMu Online Savings.I hope that you found this review of Washington Mutual savings helpful.

I liked having a savings account at WaMu for several reasons. The fact that WaMu is everywhere (at least here in CA) was factor in my decision to go with them. Also, it was always easy to pull out money from savings or to transfer it to checking. I'm only giving a rating of four because I heard that WaMu had to file for bankruptcy but it hasn't affected me so far.

I love this account. I have one for myself and for my daughter. On mine I do have to have autosave to waive the service fee but the nice thing is that if I still need it, I can just transfer it right back over to my checking account. Have to be careful about transfering online though because you're limited to like six transactions and then you get a service fee. I also have a custodial savings for my daughter. There is no minimum for this one because she is only 4. I have never had a problem with this account. As far as money goes, I think it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

It might be different in different states, it cost me $5 in MD to open an account. You get a nice .15% interest rate on your investment. As long as you transfer $5 I believe monthly from your checking to your savings account, you can waive the maintenance fee. You can also waive it I've found if you are under 18 and ask them to.
