This was my first checking account, I must say I was thrilled with the easiness of the Wells Fargo Online portal, you can manage every aspect of your checking account from there, the spending report that they offer for free is available in other banks with a monthly fee so this was one of the things that made me preserve this account. If you want a trouble free, easy to manage account, this one is the right for you.

I opened an account with Wells Fargo over three years ago and have had no complaints so far. We have not had any problems with extra fees. The bankers are always nice, helpful, and quick in branches. My favorite thing about our checking account is the online banking. There you can do immediate transfers between checking, savings, and credit card. You can also view up to date transactions, and also a spending report that summarizes spending monthly and for the whole year. They keep improving the spending report too, which is really a great function. I'd recommend Wells Fargo.

I've had basic checking with Well Fargo for over 20 yrs, opened the account for direct deposit of my Air Force pay. My mortgage and auto payments were deducted monthly with no problems. When I've had occasion to call customer service they've been professional and resolved my issue or given me the proper action required to resolve it.
The online banking site is easy to use, allows for the tracking of spending. Also included with this account is a VISA check card, at no charge.

I had a great experience with this bank and my checking account. When my debit card was stolen, they handled everything right away and helped reverse all the fraudulent charges immediately. I didn't have any problems when I used this bank.

I would not recommend anyone use Wells Fargo who doesn't have a minimum of 10,000 dollars in their account. They repeatedly held my husband's paycheck (which was direct deposit from the Army) until it was spent in overdraft charges. They charge you for everything including to talk to them on the phone and then charge an overdraft fee on that charge. They made us loose over a thousand dollars in half a year!

I have had a basic checking account with Wells Fargo for almost 5 years now and have been completely satisfied with it the entire time. There are no unexpected fees and no monthly fees. Their online system is very easy to use and makes checking my account very convenient. Also, the customer service at both their bank branches and their toll-free number have always been superb. I had this account for a little over a year. The bank failed to notify me about a slew of associated fees and I quickly found myself dealing with unjustifiable debt that could not be fought. This account, this bank in general is one that I would suggest people stay FAR AWAY FROM!!!

To be Frank with you, I have had Wells Fargo as my Bank for ages. I have never had a problem, you have everything you need online which is the best option. You can call them anytime as well. You do get a debit card yes, its handy and they have rewards programs you can add on to your checking account as well if you would like. I would recommend Wells Fargo to everyone. Fast drive through, friendly people, you cant beat it!
