This review is from Refinance Mortgage from Wells Fargo

We began our mortgage refinance process in December 2008. We closed in May 2009. From a customer service point of view this could have been the worst experience I have ever had. During the process we had to have our house appraised twice. And once we had our rate locked in April, yes it took 3 months to get a rate lock, it took two months to close. During that period, we had two false alarms on the close. Literally, it was scheduled and the bank called a few hours before to cancel. On the day we finally closed, third attempt, we didn't see any documents or information until 2 hours before the close. The documents had information that was incorrect. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage excuse for all the delays and lack of documents? We are very busy.

The funny part is we have great credit, understand the process and are very responsive. Now that we are a month past the close everything is back to the normal steady state with Wells Fargo. The mortgage bill comes and they pick up the phone when we call.

You know the old story about making sausage...
