This card is ideal for customers with no credit history or those who've been denied credit cards in the past. Your credit line is tied to a deposit you make into a collateral account (anywhere from $300-$10,000). You'll still need to make monthly payments on anything you charge, but after 12 months, you'll be eligible for an unsecured card, and your initial deposit will be returned to you. This card carries an annual fee of $18.

Not bad but they harass you bad if you miss a payment. I wouldn't use them again.

This is a great card for teaching a teen or college student the ropes and importance of building good credit. Anyone can qualify as the money is insured basically as it says above. The deposit is required, but again it's great for building solid credit.

I wanted my student to start building credit so he signed up for this account when he left for school. The interest if pretty good, and there are enough checks in place so that he cant spend wildly, but he also learns about personal financing.
