Gov. Schwarzenegger may have done little to help the economic crisis, but he can hardly be blamed for the inevitable result of decades of over-priced home values in California. However, I do agree that teachers are grossly underpaid and should receive some sort of extra compensation. But, if the government doesn't have the money for a payraise, how about some extra benefits/discounts? There has got to be some way to reward talented teachers, other then in their paychecks...

I work in education. Thanks to Guvna Aahnoold I won't be getting a raise for a very long time. Taxpayers in California value the prisons more than they value education. What they don't understand is they can pay now(education) or pay later (prisons). California wake up "Educate instead of incarcerate!!!"
