I already have facebook and I don't have to pay for it, so if they start charging I will end up deleting my profile.

I'm with Freddy, Toby, and Mike - I already feel harrassed by Facebook and only use it because my friends complain when I don't. I'd love an excuse to delete my account.

I think I would pay $1 a month to be PREVENTED from using facebook ... you can waste a lot of time there! :)

The fact is that there are so many free Facebook-copy social networking sites out there (Friendster, Myspace, etc), so if Facebook ever charged they would see a massive fall in membership. They can make more money from advertising on a free-membership high-traffic site than they can from a fee-based average-traffic site. If Facebook is determined to charge then I could see various apps and games costing something, similar to iTunes and iPhone/iPod apps.

Hmm... Facebook monthly fee. How much would I pay? I am sort of thinking about this both as a monthly cost and an annual one. Thus $12 a month seems about right to me. In addition I want to make this payment one time and not be bothered with it on a monthly basis.

Additionally, I want Facebook to:

- Reduce ads per page
- Develop sync with Google Contacts. As a smartphone user I want to have pics for all my contacts.
- Implement rev share on ads displayed in Facebook Groups. Give me a reason to drive traffic there and not to my own site.

Is that too much to ask for? =)

Interesting comments. However, it is fascinating to note how many would delete their account if FB charged a monthly fee.

While I wouldn't like to pay for use of Facebook, I would pay $1 a month for additional features.
