"We know too much and are convinced of too little." --T.S. Elliot

We've become educated about every aspect of our lives but we lag behind when it comes to implementing that knowledge. We know it, but we don't believe it. Most people know, on some level, what they should do, yet lack the motivation and wherewithal to put those ideas into practice. I fell into that category for much of my adult life, but I've learned through personal experience and through the wisdom of others, that simply knowing about a subject doesn't make you an expert. Putting those experiences and wisdom to good use is what's important.

Such has been my journey in personal finance. I've made some gigantic mistakes, but I've learned from them and I hope my experience can serve as a library of ideas and knowledge about what NOT to do!

Check me out on Twitter (wisdomjournal) and feel free to look at my VisualCV at www.visualcv.com/ronhaynes.

Planning Your Next Financial Disaster?

Monday May 4, 2009

People schedule financial disasters all the time. How? They fail to plan for predictable expenses that have yet to surface. As the old saying goes, failing to plan means planning to fail! Let's not fail to plan.
